MUSIC LESSONS

Embark on a Musical Journey at the Y

Music lessons are beneficial because they enhance cognitive development, improve coordination, boost self-discipline, foster creativity, and provide a meaningful outlet for self-expression and emotional well-being. Whether you’re an adult pursuing a long-held passion, or a child discovering a new interest, our instructors tailor lessons to meet the individual goals and aspirations of each student.

Youth Music Lessons

Piano lessons can begin from 4½ years old, guitar lessons from age 6, and voice lessons are tailored to individual abilities. Students are encouraged to use their own instruments; alternatively, YMCA instruments may be available upon request. Additional materials such as music lesson workbooks may need to be purchased. Lessons are conducted either onsite at the Fulton Family YMCA or virtually via Zoom, with scheduling based on your preferred availability.

Adult Music Lessons

It’s never too late to learn something new—especially when it comes to playing a musical instrument. Keeping our minds active as we age is crucial, and engaging in a fulfilling hobby like learning an instrument can provide both mental stimulation and immense enjoyment. Lesson scheduling is flexible and based on your availability, ensuring a convenient and personalized learning experience.
