COMMUNITY IMPACT
The YMCA is uniquely suited to meet our community’s health and well-being needs, every day.
The Y is making a difference in the lives of our community.
The Y is dedicated to building programs for Youth Development, for Healthy Living, and for Social Responsibility that promote strong families, character values, youth leadership, community development, and international understanding. The Y makes accessible the support and opportunities that empower individuals and communities to learn, grow, and thrive. By providing supportive and inclusive environments that nurture the potential of every youth and teen, we strive to improve, as well as to provide, opportunities to give back and support our neighbors.
Our Stories
Our son Dominick was diagnosed with cancer for the second time and the Y has been nothing short of amazing. They hosted a karate event to raise money for our family and have offered us free childcare for our youngest children while Dominick is doing treatment and hospital stays.
They say it takes a village to raise kids, and I can say wholeheartedly that the Y and the staff members there are a part of our village. Because of the Y, both my husband and I can be there for Dominick while our younger ones are being taken care of by people who treat them like they’re their own.
We would be lost without our Y family. I will forever be thankful for the selfless and amazing people who work there and make it not only a safe place, but a home for so many.

Through the Y’s Girls Rock program my daughter has been exposed to new ideas, and different perspectives, but in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment. She has learned how to navigate this changing world, how to be more accepting of others’ differences, and even learned some conflict resolution and how to build healthy friendships and relationships.

The Y not only helps with fitness and keeps me moving even with arthritis, it improves my mental status because of the many fantastic people I have met and now call them my best friends. WE HAVE SO MUCH FUN!
