Embark on a Musical Journey at the Y
Music lessons are beneficial because they enhance cognitive development, improve coordination, boost self-discipline, foster creativity, and provide a meaningful outlet for self-expression and emotional well-being. Whether you’re an adult pursuing a long-held passion, or a child discovering a new interest, our instructors tailor lessons to meet the individual goals and aspirations of each student.
We currently offer music instruction in voice and the following instruments:
• Piano
• Guitar – Acoustic, Electric, Bass
• Brass – Trumpet, Trombone, French Horn, Tuba, Euphonium
Youth Music Lessons
Piano lessons begin at age 4½, guitar at age 6, and voice lesson eligibility varies by ability. Students should bring their own instruments, though Y instruments may be available for use as supplies allow. Students may be required to purchase lesson workbooks or other materials. Lessons are offered onsite at the Fulton Family YMCA or virtually via Zoom. Lesson days and times are scheduled to accommodate your availability. Call or visit our Welcome Center for more information.
Adult Music Lessons
It’s never too late to learn something new—especially a musical instrument. Staying mentally active as we age is essential, and learning an instrument offers the perfect mix of brain stimulation and pure joy. Lesson days and times are scheduled to accommodate your availability. Call or visit our Welcome Center for more information.
